Can we play outside of the tournament machines?
Due to the constraints of the venues, this is unfortunatelly not possible. But the high score tournament will run in parallel until Saturday 6 PM, which provides unlimited play attempts.
As we anticipate quite a lot of players, we’d like to kindly ask everyone who isn’t competing at the moment, to take extra care of the players around you, making sure that you do not disturb them in any way. If possible, only those who are currently in play should be around the machines, for the rest of you, we suggest taking a break in the lounge area.
Throughout the whole tourmanent, the Pinball Museum can be visited for free by any competitors, during the opening hours!
How many people can register for the tournament?
We designed the tournament with 192 competitors in mind, but taking previous experiences with cancellations into account, we can guarantee the first 200 player’s entry into the tournament.
Everyone above 200 will be put on a waiting list, but since there are 20 organizer-reserved spots above 192, going under the 200 line on the waiting list does not mean automatic entry into the tournament. Those affected will be notified on this website and by email.
Mabra tournament
Sunday’s MABRA HPO tournament will be held in a separate location, and handled by a separate team. For any information about this tournament, we suggest taking a look at their site.
Food & drinks
You’re encouraged to bring your own snacks/beverages, with the only constraint, that you cannon bring them inside, to the area with the pinball machines, feel free to have them in the seated area.
A buffet will be available at all the locations, where cold meals and soft drinks can be purchased with cash only (euros are also accepted).
On the Game Galaxy’s street, and near the Pinball Museum, there are multiple nice dining options in the area, with the only hiccup, that these could be affected by the national holiday, or the weekend. As we get any exact details about these, we’ll keep you posted here as well.
Accommodations
We can suggest ibis Budapest Centrum, or Corvin Hotel Budapest accomodations around Game Galaxy.
Besides these Ráday street is filled with practically unlimited number of Airbnbs.
A bit further away from the Main tournament, but closer to the Pinball Museum, we can wholeheartedly recommend the Happy Home Budapest apartments if someone is looking for an accommodation with a pinball theme.
